Product Description

Products Details

GR7 and GR12 titanium alloy foils are high-end titanium alloy product series. These titanium alloy foils have a wide range of applications in aerospace, chemical, marine and other high-end fields. Compared with traditional pure titanium foils, GR7 and GR12 alloy titanium foils have superior corrosion resistance, high-temperature performance and mechanical strength, and are particularly suitable for applications in extreme environments.

According to the form classification, these can be divided into rolled titanium foil and sheet titanium foil.

Detailed Product Information

Grade Application
GR7 titanium foil GR7 alloy titanium foil is a titanium palladium Ti-Pd alloy suitable for chloride environments and is widely used in chemical equipment, desalination systems and in the manufacture of equipment for high temperature and high pressure environments.
GR12 titanium foil GR12 alloy titanium foil is a titanium-molybdenum-nickel alloy suitable for high temperature and high pressure environments such as aircraft engine components, chemical reactors and offshore equipment.

Advantages of GR7 and GR12 Titanium Foils

Features Titanium foils GR7 Titanium foils GR12 Advantage Comparison
Strength Tensile strength ≥ 800MPa. Tensile strength ≥ 900MPa. GR12 alloy titanium foil is more suitable for high strength working environment.
High-temp Performance Operating temperatures up to 550°C. Service temperatures up to 650°C. GR12 alloy titanium foils perform best at high temperatures and are suitable for high temperature industrial applications.
Corrosion resistance Outstanding performance in chloride environments. Excellent performance in high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environments. GR7 alloy titanium foils are suitable for use in extremely corrosive environments; GR12 is suitable for use in high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environments.
Lightweight Density 4.5g/cm³ Density 4.6g/cm³ Both have similar densities, but GR12 alloy titanium foil is superior in strength and corrosion resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are the primary differences between GR7 and GR12 titanium foils?
GR7 is a titanium-palladium alloy optimized for exceptional corrosion resistance in chloride environments, while GR12 is a titanium-molybdenum-nickel alloy designed for superior strength and performance in high-temperature, high-pressure settings.
What is the maximum operating temperature for these alloys?
GR7 titanium foil can operate in temperatures up to 550°C, whereas GR12 titanium foil is suitable for more extreme thermal environments with service temperatures up to 650°C.
Can I order titanium foil in specific shapes?
Yes, we provide titanium alloy foils in both rolled (continuous) and sheet forms to suit different manufacturing requirements such as chemical reactors or electronic components.
How long does shipping and delivery take?
Stock products are typically delivered within 3 days. Regular production orders take about 15 days, and fully customized foils are delivered within 25-30 days.
Are these foils suitable for offshore and marine applications?
Absolutely. Both GR7 and GR12 offer excellent resistance to seawater corrosion, making them ideal for desalination systems, offshore platforms, and subsea pipelines.
Do you provide technical support for material selection?
Yes, we have a professional technical team available to provide consultation and help you choose the right grade of titanium foil based on your specific environmental and mechanical needs.
