Expert Guide: Understanding Titanium Grades

Professional expertise to help you select the right material for your specific environment.

Grade Type Description & Key Properties Common Applications
Grade 1-4 (CP) Commercially Pure Titanium. Grade 1 offers highest ductility, while Grade 4 provides higher strength with excellent corrosion resistance. Chemical processing, heat exchangers, marine hardware, and medical devices.
Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) The "workhorse" of the industry. Alpha-beta alloy with high strength and heat resistance. Aerospace turbines, structural components, high-performance racing parts.
Grade 7 Physically and mechanically equivalent to Grade 2, but with 0.12-0.25% Palladium for enhanced corrosion resistance. Extremely corrosive chemical environments (reducing acids and chlorides).
Grade 12 Alloyed with 0.3% Mo and 0.8% Ni. Offers high strength and better corrosion resistance than CP grades at high temperatures. Pressure vessels, shell and tube heat exchangers, hydrometallurgical applications.
Grade 23 (ELI) Extra Low Interstitial version of Grade 5. Improved toughness and bio-compatibility. Medical implants, surgical instruments, and cryogenic applications.

Localized Industry Applications

Where our titanium makes a difference in the real world.

Chemical & Petrochemical

In North American and Middle Eastern refineries, our Grade 2 and Grade 7 plates are used in reactors against chlor-alkali and sulfuric acid, preventing leaks and ensuring 20+ years of operational safety.

Marine & Desalination

For coastal regions in Asia and Europe, titanium is the only material that survives sea water salinity. Our seamless tubes are critical for desalination plants to provide fresh water efficiently.

Consumer Electronics

Localized manufacturing in tech hubs requires lightweight, high-strength foils. Our GR5 and GR1 foils are now trending in the smartphone and wearable markets for their premium feel and durability.
